Jisha Sangeetha Nritya Kala Academy is a leading dance school for Indian performing arts, started by Jisha Madhumohan to promote and support people’s interest for traditional art forms from South India. It offers training in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniattam, Kuchipudi and Semi-classical dance and Carnatic Vocal to students of any age. Based in Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom, academy has got branches in other areas of South Wales and England.
At present, the academy offers regular classes in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music, through which learners can achieve their grades through OFAAL examination board, London. Students are able to learn other Indian classical dance forms like Mohiniattam, Kuchipudi, Semi-Classical and Bollywood dances, according to the individual’s interests. Jisha Sangeetha Nritya Kala Academy is happy to welcome students form multi-cultural backgrounds.
Academy provides students of all ages with all levels of training in theory and practical techniques in traditional Kalakshethra style.
Learners get opportunity to learn and perform one of the finest art forms form Kerala.
Interested learners are taught this exciting form of dance originated from Andhra Pradesh.
Learners have the opportunity to perform dance to Bollywood or south Indian movie songs which are individually choreographed.
Students are trained in South Indian Classical music based upon a
complex system of Ragam and Thalam.
Coaching is provided for students who are interested in singing to light music and karaoke songs
